Hey! How is your quarantine going?
I hope you are fine and that you were able to distract yourself for a bit. I had a very productive week last week. However, this one is not so much. Maybe it is because of the weather change, the lack of plans, or the fact that Martin is on holidays… who knows, maybe I just became lazier.
I wanted to ask you, how did you like the Youtube videos? Were they useful? I hope so! You know I love to know your opinion, so give it to me without hesitation. you know every opinion matters. Don’t forget to subscribe the channel and to give a thumbs up to the videos you like!
And talking about videos… have you had time to practice? No? Well, don’t worry. Here I bring you TWO FREE CROCHET PATTERNS. Yeah, at zero cost for you. And the best? They are Zero Waste crochet patterns, this means, they help you avoid plastic and other sorts of waste. Isn’t it fantastic?
The first one is a Soap Saver. We have been using solid soap instead of shower gel for over a year now. And let me tell you, I have no regrets. The soap saver is great for two reasons: the first one, is that it keeps the bits and pieces of the soap together (hence the name) and the other is that you can exfoliate your skin as you use it. And of course, you can wash it in the washing machine. Only advantages, if you ask me.

The second one is a wash cloth. You can use it for whatever you want: as a face cloth, to clean the kitchen surfaces or just as decoration. This cloth you will crochet flat, whereas the soap saver is worked on the round, avoiding sewing it together (because nobody likes sewing, right??).
Here is a list of the materials I used:
- Bambolin from Rosarios4 for the soap saver
- Damasco also from Rosarios4 for the cloth
- A crochet hook from Clover (these are the ones I use, but you can choose any that you like)
I love these materials because they are so easy to work with AND are ecological. Do you know how many of your materials are full of polyester or are damaging the environment due to the dyeing process? Plus, Rosarios4 is a portuguese brand, which hits very close to home. And no, they are not paying me to say this, I just like the materials very much 🥰
And without further ado, here is the link to the patterns:
